Dr. Lewis received his Bachelor's Degree at Stanford University in 1994. He attended medical school at Tulane University, and then completed his residency in Internal Medicine at the University of Southern California Los Angeles County Hospital in 2002. After practicing hospital medicine in Southern California for 2 years, he accepted a faculty position at Johns Hopkins Hospital where he worked as a clinical instructor until July 2007. He then began his fellowship in cardiovascular disease at the Penn State Hershey Medical Center in 2007. Following completion, he completed a fellowship in Interventional Cardiology at Johns Hopkins Hospital. Dr. Lewis is board certified in internal medicine, with subspecialty boards in cardiovascular diseases and nuclear cardiology.

Dr. Lewis remains a clinician first and foremost. However, he has a passion for procedural medicine. He has had extensive training in both radial and femoral cardiac catheterization but has a particular interest in structural heart disease, including percutaneous patent foramen ovale exclusion, valvuloplasty, and complex coronary angioplasty and stenting. He has also received training in peripheral angiography and percutaneous vascular intervention.

Dr. Lewis is a compassionate and caring physician, and his dedication to his patients is unparalleled. He is known and respected for "going the extra mile" for his patients and for spending the time necessary to make sure they understand their medical care.

Dr. Lewis also enjoys reading, classical piano, and sports, and especially enjoys spending time with his wife and two sons.
